The Olympic emblem "SPIRALE" was the official logo of the 1972 Olympic Games. The original design was by German graphic designer, Otl Aicher. His graphic design team revised it and the final design was refined by Coordt von Mannstein. It was then rendered in color by Victor Vasarely who also designed #12 (1601) below.

Most OPEN EDITION posters are in stock and I am always acquiring more.
ALSO available are many LIMITED EDITION versions of the posters - from the German "series 2" which is the limited edition of 2,000/4,000. According to the OFFICIAL REPORT there were 2,000 in this series however it appears that this number is an error because numerous posters numbered up to 3,999 have been on the marketplace. My theory: there was a set printed for Europe and another set printed for the USA.
